Not every CICA product is built around recovery.
Many formulas contain Centella somewhere in the ingredient list.
Far fewer are actually designed around Centella's recovery-support pathways.
This collection focuses on Recovery-Centric CICA products.
These formulas were selected because Centella functions as a primary behavioral driver rather than a supporting ingredient.
When evaluating products, we look beyond front-label marketing and examine formulation architecture, including the presence and positioning of key Centella triterpenes such as Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, and Madecassic Acid.
Products may qualify through either a front-loaded Centella triterpene system or a high-position Madecassoside-centered recovery architecture.
BKS Classification Rule: Recovery-Centric CICA is assigned only when Centella recovery pathways appear to be carrying the formula. Products where Retinol, Vitamin C, BHA, or other active systems dominate product behavior are classified under those profiles instead.
This collection may be especially relevant for consumers focused on:
- Post-inflammatory erythema (PIE)
- Visible post-breakout redness
- Barrier recovery support
- Reactive or easily irritated skin
- Recovery-focused skincare routines
