收藏: Strong Facial Cleansers

Strong facial cleansers provide the highest cleansing power in the BKS water-cleanser classification. They are designed for situations where ordinary daily cleansing is no longer enough, such as heavy sunscreen residue, temporary excess sebum, intense sweating, or substantial environmental buildup.

Strong is defined by a dominant soap-based cleansing architecture. It delivers higher oil-removal capacity than Feather, Light, or Medium, making it suitable for periods of unusually high cleansing demand rather than every skin, every day.

Who Should Choose a Strong Facial Cleanser?

  • Water-resistant or heavy sunscreen
  • Repeated sunscreen application throughout the day
  • Temporary excess sebum and oily skin flare-ups
  • Hot, humid weather with heavy sweating
  • Substantial outdoor activity and environmental buildup
  • People who consistently find Medium cleansers insufficient

What Makes a Cleanser Strong?

Strong cleansers are identified by a dominant soap architecture, built around preformed soap salts or a complete fatty-acid-and-alkali system that controls the formula's functional cleansing core.

BKS classifies Strong cleansers according to their cleansing architecture rather than marketing terms such as "deep cleansing," "oil control," or "power cleanser."

What Should You Expect?

Strong cleansers provide greater oil and residue removal than the other cleansing levels and often leave the skin feeling fresher, cleaner, and more thoroughly degreased after rinsing. This higher cleansing performance can be useful when residue load temporarily becomes much greater than normal.

However, stronger cleansing also increases the removal of the skin's natural surface lipids. Using a Strong cleanser when cleansing demand is low may create unnecessary tightness, dryness, or barrier stress.

When Is Strong the Wrong Cleansing Level?

If your skin is bare, you wear only an easy-wash sunscreen, have dry or highly sensitive skin, or your daily residue is modest, Strong is usually more cleansing power than necessary. In these situations, Feather, Light, or Medium will often be the better match.

Choose Strong when your skin temporarily needs more removal power—not simply because stronger feels cleaner. Move back to a lower cleansing level once the higher cleansing demand has passed.
